Claire Alexandra Doyle is a freelance make-up artist based in Los Angeles with over seventeen years’ professional experience in television, film, commercials, documentaries, online content, corporate, red carpet, and print.  Specializing in beauty and special effects, she has worked on over ninety films and TV shows, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, Castle, The Amazing Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 and 3, and Michael Jackson’s: This Is It.  She worked with director Peter Berg on the first live Super Bowl television commercial, for Hyundai Motors, aired during Super Bowl 51.

She supervised the make-up for all twenty-four episodes of David Steinberg’s Showtime interview series Inside Comedy. The guests included Bob Newhart, Steve Martin, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, Kathleen O’Hara, Susie Essman, Dick Van Dyke, Drew Carey, Judd Apatow, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael Key, Cheech and Chong, Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks, and other distinguished performers.

Claire’s elegant and fresh style attracts clients of all genders, ethnicities, and international backgrounds, spanning all mediums.  She has been featured as an expert on makeover shows and in print, and has worked as a make-up artist to athletes (Conor McGregor and Olympic Gold Medalist Ted Ligety), directors (Ridley Scott, Justin Lin), actors (including Anna Faris, Zak Efron, Ben Affleck, Mamrie Hart and Tom Hanks), comedians (including Chris Rock and Don Rickles), musicians (including Will.I.am and Mick Fleetwood), among many others.

Claire studied ballet and theater from the age of five until she went to Emerson College in Boston where she received her B.A. in Media Arts (Film & TV Production).

She then went on to study hair styling, beauty, character, and special effects make-up at the Make-up Designory in Burbank, California and was mentored by three-time Oscar-winning make-up artist Ve Neill.

When not working, Claire enjoys spending time with her family, making her daughter laugh, volunteering for various organizations, Iyengar yoga, a passion for all things Martha Stewart, and enjoying a nice cup of tea.

She is a member of Local 706, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
